Business Analyst (Technical) (12363 in Encino, California

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for applying business knowledge and gathering business requirements, with attention toward application and business processes.
Duties:

Elicit requirements through interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task analysis, and workflow analysis

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

Proactively collaborate with customers to analyze functional requirements, and deliver the following artifacts as needed: business requirements documents, use cases, GUI, screen and interface designs

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

Serve as the liaison between business, subject matter experts and the technology development team to establish the technical vision

Analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Skills:

3+ years of experience working as a Technical Business Analyst implementing technology solutions; experience in delivering several different technology projects while working with varied and diverse clients

Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs, and translate them into application and operational requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people: executives, managers, subject matter experts, developers and testers

Ability to collaborate with others, work independently with users to define concepts, and conduct cost/benefit analysis.

Ability to drive and challenge business on their assumptions of how to successfully execute their plans

Experience documenting requirements in written form and through mock-ups (wire-frames)

Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Outlook

Bachelor degree or above (required): degree in business administration is a plus

Background in finance concepts, practices, and procedures
